New Shoes.
Last Saturday we took Zach to get some new shoes. Of course Samson found some that he really really liked. I said let's put them on hold and see what you have at home and go from there. Well Saturday afternoon Samson got some gooey stuff all over his carpet (which is now a beautiful shade of mauve) and for sure he was not getting any shoes. On Sunday he woke up and said "dad, can I get my shoes now? I'm not naughty today". I still said no. Well now its Tuesday and Chris finally broke. I knew he would when on Sunday he came home from work and said he had thought about it all day. I'm just surprised that it took this long for him to break.

My Grateful for the day.
When I came home today, I noticed that there were some Crocus blooming in my yard. I seriously threw the car in park and ran to get my camera. I am so excited for Spring to arrive. So today I am posting pictures of my cute little Crocus flowers. This is my Grateful for today. Just the beautiful things!
Same to Same.
Samson has such a funny way of communicating his thoughts. After his mohawk that lasted 5 minutes, he had Chris shave his head. Chris had been growing his hair out so Sam had asked him to shave his head so they could be "same to same". Chris did shave his head the next day and now they are same to same.

Girl Scout Cookies.
Among all of the wonderful things that come in the soon to be spring time, there are GIRL SCOUT COOKIES. We love them. So much so, that Chris had me order 20 boxes of them. I'm not lying. 20. It was definitely the butt of some jokes at work. I have no doubt that they will all be gone in a very short time. Until then, we have pure joy at our home in the form of a cookie.

Grateful for...
I have recently started a "Grateful Journal" in the process of trying to have a better outlook on life and my take on it so I decided to occasionally share some of my "Grateful fors".

There are times in my day that I will glance over somewhere and there will be the constant reminder of the wonderful boys I am blessed with having. Just a little something that will bring an immediate smile to my face no matter what the mood. Tonight I leaned over to turn on a lamp and came across this. Some kind of Star Wars character. Not sure which one and it really doesn't matter. He is perched the the inside rim of the lamp. Just chillin.
So my "Grateful" for today is the small things that make me smile. The toy in my bag that I forgot was there. The toy on the edge of the lamp. The little toys in the bottom drawer in the bathroom just for safe keeping. The ones that I run across when least expected. I love them all and I am so in love with my boys for all of this.
